Proof is in the Pictures

I have been wanting to post pictures of the aftermath. Apparently there are people out there that grow suspicious if you don't provide such photos when a tragedy or illness takes place. To me that is stupid to have such a mind set. So for all that were ever in doubt of the crap that I had to endure.... this is for you.

Kat took these for me. I would have never been able to do this myself at that time. This was about a week after the bandage was taken off. It's a little dark, but you can definitely see it.

I took this one today. It looks swollen still but that is because I have been doing my daily physical therapy, which by the way is not fun by any means!
You can see that in just a few weeks the mobility in my neck is a lot better. My neck and face are still a little swollen but hey what do you expect. The rope like effect is from the drain tube that was left in after surgery. It was taken out before I left the hospital. I was told that the scar and swelling will take at least eight months to fully subside. The numbness that I have have from my left ear all the down past my left shoulder could take up to a full year and I may not recover all of the feeling back.

Feeling Overwhelmed...

I feel like my brain is in overdrive and I can't slow down. My mind is constantly running and I have been on empty for weeks now. I am not sure if I am not completely over being ill or if something else is trying to invade my body.

So many things to do in a given day but my body doesn't function like it should. I clean when I have scheduled appointments but doing anything else that day is a no go. I hate feeling run down all the time and I hate not knowing how to fix it. Sleep eludes me almost every night and when I do get sleep, I wake up just as exhausted.

So many thoughts cloud my brain all at once and sometimes I feel so disconnected with myself. I am not sure if this is a case of anxiety or if I am just taking on more than I can chew. Whatever my problem is, I need to slow down. Although I feel if I slow down than I will forget how to breathe. I need help!

Death can come now! No really!!!

I woke up Saturday morning with not much of a voice. I was hoarse and congested for much of the day until evening fell. Then that is when the party really started. I came down with one hell of a cold! Fever, body aches, runny nose and a very dry cough. I did what anyone else would do and loaded up on meds and O.J.

Sunday I felt like death warmed over! Fever, chills, body aches and the meanest stuffy nose on the face of the planet. Chris did a lot for me and even cooked dinner. I still managed to do some laundry and puttz around the house.

This morning was a killer. I couldn't even get myself out of the bed to go to the bathroom. Chris had to help me and he decided that he would stay home and take care of me. Every four hours like clockwork he was stuffing me with meds and replenishing my orange juice. Now I feel so much better except for the teary eyes and sneezing. I have taken everything to help alleviate that but nothing has worked until I sucked down a few Halls cough drops.

Tomorrow I have two houses to clean and I sure hope that these meds will help me get through the day if not I am going to be like a walking zombie!
