I just completed both my courses and I have to say that I am pleased with the outcome. I received a 90% in Algebra. I worked my hiney off for that and I am so glad it is over with. I received a 92.87% in software applications. If it wasn't for the trouble on one of my projects I probably would have gotten a perfect score of 100%.
Oh well.. I am happy all around. So I won't have classes again until next Wednesday the 2nd. Which will be Business Law and Interpersonal Skills. Those should be interesting. My books are due to arrive any day now. Can't wait to skim through them to see exactly what we will be doing.
So.. how am I going to celebrate my time off? Hmm... playing Sims, swimming, being absolutely lazy and not sure what else. I have been working on putting together fund raiser packets for Regalo Boutique to send out to the elementary schools in Sarasota County. Why not right? Chris and I have even discussed possibly getting involved in different flea markets this season. In Florida during Season the Flea Markets are booming. So we'll see.

Getting down to the wire...
Remember to have your header submissions in by May 30th, for the Regalo Boutique contest. I am disappointed that so far no one has submitted anything. I am hoping that you are taking an interest and maybe you are mulling over ideas in your head.
The contest is simple and everyone walks away with a gift just for participating. If you have some how been under a rock or just not paying attention for nearly a month now you can go here to read all the details.
There must be some people out there that love me enough to want to try this. Right?

Same (bleep) different day.
I have been working hard on the algebra and damn I feel like my brain will implode any second now. I am taking a break so I thought I should post to keep you all up to date.
I spoke to the Human Resource Dept ( owner's wife) on Thursday regarding the pay I received. It turns out that the owner told the office manager to inform me that he could only pay $10.00/hour. It would have been fine and I would have worked anyway... but her not telling me made me a little leery. Did she think I wouldn't have filled in? Just be straight with me and there won't be any problems. Geez.. I am not a monster and the money helped.
Yesterday, we took my parents out to dinner to celebrate my dad's 61st birthday. They had a great time and I know my parents were grateful just to go somewhere. They have spent some money on a new water heater and they are redoing the kitchen. So a break was good for them. Afterwards we brought an apple pie back to their house to eat. I would love to help them out this weekend painting and replacing the floor but this algebra is a monster and I really want to keep my GPA.. so all the studying and work needs to pay off.
Also a reminder people to submit your ideas for the contest being held for Regalo Boutique. The details are here.

Another term has begun...
hence the reason for no post yesterday. Besides filling in at work yesterday and accessing my classes, I was to exhausted to spend any time in the evening online. College algebra is going to be a hard one for me. I have no doubt that I will not complete the course but I am already having my doubts on how much of this I am going to understand. My son has already volunteered to tutor me... such an angel he is.
My software applications class is about Vista and Office 2007. I have both so I should pass this course with flying colors. I will really feel dumb if I don't:)
It was bitter sweet leaving work yesterday knowing that once again I will be without a job. The business is picking up only slightly but the techs are doing a much better job at selling their jobs than they were before. I enjoyed working with everyone and I will miss them.
The only real issue I have is that when they paid me for four days work it was not at my regular wage. Instead of making $12.50 an hour they paid me $10.oo. I don't know if they intended to do that or not. When I was originally called and asked to fill in, I was told that they would pay me cash but the amount was never discussed, so I just assumed it was at the same wage I was making before they laid me off. I would also assume that if my regular wage was an issue that they would have told me what they could pay me. So... I did place a call and spoke to the office manager and she will ask them. Somehow though I feel like a heathen for even asking.
Ok everyone, I have more reading to do so I will catch up with all of you later....
Don't forget about the Regalo Boutique contest. I am too lazy to post a link to it so just scroll down a few posts and you should find it with no problems....

First Post of the new year...
I know.. I suck... Still trying to find a "balance" with family, work,Regalo Boutique, school and my blogging:) I am doing pretty good with scheduling everything I want to accomplish. Chris bought me a scheduler and I have been using it.
I am going to lose more weight this year. Hopefully I will reach my goal and by the summer I will want to be seen in a bathing suit.
Devote more time to the online store. Chris will be picking up more of the slack so that I can put a lot of my attention to my schooling. There are a lot of new products and girls. We got Linda Jackson cosmetics. I will let you all know when the new products are up.
Although my grade point average is a 3.8 so far, I want to do better. I would like to qualify for as many scholarships as I can so I do not have a big debt at the end to pay off.
Chris and I would like to buy a house but with the market the way it is and the financial institutions becoming stricter it looks slim at this point but we'll see.
Jeff is saving for a car. He works hard so we may help him out and Katie is growing up so fast. I swear that girl is going to start puberty early. She is only 8!
So we shall see what 2008 holds for this family.

85 Shopping days left until Christmas....
If you are like me then you are not worried about the dwindling days. However, there are quite a few procrastinators I know that will be scrambling around on Christmas Eve haha...
I personally like to shop from home. I am not wild about huge crowds and I do get annoyed easy when people are out and about and pushing, shoving or plain knocking you down to get at a certain item.
If you are the same then may I suggest checking out Regalo Boutique for your Christmas shopping pleasure. There are so many items to choose from and more added regularly.
Just a suggestion or a shameless plug on my part.

This is your last reminder....
Tomorrow starting at 9am (EST) Kat will be starting her marathon of blogging, better known as Blogathon '07, to raise money for The Montel MS Foundation. If any of you are interested in helping her keep awake for the 24 hour blogathon she will be available through IM. She will post how to reach her.
Also ending on July 29th will be Regalo Boutique's quest to help Kat. Remember... we will donate 20% of the total sales to Kat's charity. I realize that many of you may be skeptical on buying online, and that's ok it you choose not to contribute that way but please visit Kat's site and sponsor her efforts!
I do want to thank all of you that have made a contribution and/or purchased from my online store. We will be getting our business geared for yet another sale so drop by and check it out!

Working on the business...
and slowly but surely it is really starting to take off... I would rather it grow slow and continue at a steady rate as a way to support my family than to have it take off full blown and crash hard in a year. Doing my research a lot of new businesses close after two years because of the volume of growth but no way of handling the responsibility. I want to be able to pass down this torch to my children if they wish to get involved when they are older. I will periodically post the progression of the products and give you a heads up when another sale will be starting. So drop by anytime and visit Regalo Boutique and take a look at all the wonderful products we have to offer.

Been gone too long!
The sale at Regalo Boutique officially started on March 25th. I have been adding more items here and there but for the most part the sale items are all on there. I have several more categories to install on the site yet but I am working on it.
Unfortunately, my blog has suffered:( I can truly say I missed blogging. I have become addicted to it as I have always been to reading novels. It's become my escape. I will do my best to post every night after I finish adding more products to my site.
Please, if you haven't done so, go check out the amazing new items and BUY something. haha.....
