You may not like my taste in music....
but you don't have to. I did want to inform you that I have added a play list to my blog and I do realize that some of you out there may not want to listen so of course you can always turn it off. I just want you all to know that it was there....
I am not lazy....just super busy:)
It's been awhile but I have had things to do...
I did work the one day at my previous job and it was somehow different. I mean the people were the same and the job was the same but I felt weird. Like I truly didn't belong. The techs were funny as usual and the majority of them hated that fact that I would not be permanent but I was told how valuable I am and that they are working hard to bring me back. But with all that said, I thought to myself..."Do I really want to come back?" I am however filling in again while two of the office staff go to St. Louis for a Customer Service Seminar. I have worked Friday and will be working Monday-Wednesday of next week.
The kids have already been on Spring Break and we were still able to take them to Busch Gardens on the Friday before they went back to school. We didn't spend quite as much as we would normally but the kids didn't complain. It was good that we had season passes and we spent very little on snacks and ate our main meal outside the park.
I just finished my second term of school on Tuesday and I am pretty sure that I made the President's List again. I am noticing that each term is getting a little more involved. I had English Composition and Marketing which both had term papers that were a big part of the grade and it was very intense and involving but I did receive 100's on them. I need to be able to manage my time better so I do not have to burn the midnight oil so often. My next classes, College Algebra and Software Applications will start on Wednesday, April 16th. So I am trying to take advantage of the week off.
I have come up with an idea for a contest involving Regalo Boutique and you fellow bloggers. I don't want to give too much of it away but I promise if you check back before the weekend is over the post will be up and running.
Also if there is anyone that would like to ask me question just for the heck of it or to get to know me a little better... please ask away.

Going back to work... one day only
My friend and ex co-worker called me today. Her niece passed away earlier this week(cause is unknown at this time) and she wanted to know if I could fill in for tomorrow. Of course I said yes and I will do it but I really am hesitant. I feel weird about it. No, I am not upset about them laying me off. It's just feels awkward. I can't really put it into words. I have a feeling that they may want to utilize me for fill ins. I don't want to have to do that.
Anyway... it will be nice to see everyone again.

New Year.... New Me
I have been taking it easy being home for the last two weeks. I have gotten some things done around the house. Had dinner all ready to go once the man of the house came home. I have spent countless daytime hours with school and of course playing my Sims game:)
Financially we are a little strapped and I have been trying to think of ways to bring in a little extra income. I have decided to redo the Regalo Boutique site. I have time now so... I think that will be a priority and I have thought about seriously looking for work to do from home. Legit work though not scams. I hate scams. So if any of you have ideas, please shoot them my way. Oh... and pledge to post at least once a day. Scouts Honor:)

Can you spell RECESSION??!!
I have known for quite some time that my family could possibly be affected by what many "officials" dare not to speak of.... I am talking about recession here... As of March 11, 2008 I am no longer employed.
I got the news two minutes before my work day was through... I know he had a very difficult decision to make and I know he did not want to do this but when the company wasn't bringing in nearly enough money, I knew it was just a matter of time. What sucks is that I had absolutely no time to search for anything else... not that there is anything out there to begin with. I was the one to comfort my boss because of how chocked up he was and because he is a man with a huge heart it hurt me to see him so upset. I have been with this company for almost four years and I have thought of each and everyone of my co workers as family.. yes we would sometimes get on each others nerves and yes we have had our moments but so do we with our own families. What I did not know until I went in to the office the next day to collect my things and to help the office manager out with a few details was that my boss was cutting into his own paycheck for several weeks trying to keep me on. Who does that? He does.
So.. I am taking it easy and trying to devote more of my time to keeping the house clean (whew) and my school work. I will be getting a severance package that will last a few weeks and then If I haven't found anything, I will be filing for unemployment. I have some leads in the works so we shall see..
At least I will have some time to post more:)

Not doing to well....
keeping up with this blog that is. I can not believe that it is almost a MONTH since I have posted. Forgive me please....
School is getting way more involved than I anticipated but I am learning and enjoying it. I have to thank Chris for being so supportive. Right now he is taking Katie to her Brownie meeting so I can get some things done. Yesterday he and Katie did a cookie booth together for her troop. Normally we both go but I had laundry to do and well.... I was just plain pooped from all the running around we have been doing.
My parents finally found a place of their own. Chris and Jeff helped my dad move the heavy furniture from their storage unit to the new place and I helped my mom unpack boxes. This was on top of doing a Cookie booth on Saturday. I haven't done much with schooling this weekend other than attend my seminar online last night. I have been mostly researching for my final project paper due in five weeks. I am officially burning the candle from both ends and if I don't slow down I am going to burn out. I think Chris could see this happening and has been the BEST MAN EVER for a while now. I have been reading up on my favorite blogs. Sorry... if you do not see comments... haven't the time. I mostly read them at work:)
Well...it's back to the school work again. I will be back
