Two weeks of Bliss!
The new cleaning blog is up and so is my official company website. Please do me a favor check them both out and let me know what you think!
My Christmas shopping is almost done. I still have no idea what to get Chris that doesn't involve World of Warcraft! Ughh!!!! I plan to give him money for his birthday which is three days after Christmas so that he can apply that to his WOW account and get the new Wrath of the Lynch King that he has been talking my ears off about.
The kids are off for the next two weeks and so far my cleaning jobs are only on this Friday and three days next week. A lot of my customers have left for the holidays and some of them will not be back until after the New Year! Which is ok with me because I won't need to find a sitter for Katie! Jeff is working all this week except for Christmas and the day after so he is looking forward to a good paycheck. Chris will only be working 6 out of the next 10 business days! Things are always s l o w around this time of year! So the next two weeks I will be spending some much needed quality time with my family.

12 Pains of Christmas
I just about died when I found this song. It took me back to when I was maybe 17 or 18 years old, going Christmas shopping with my family and this song came on over the radio and we laughed so hard that there was not one dry eye in the car. My sister had taped it a long time ago and my father actually would play it at every Christmas dinner for years until the tape broke. I am going to have to email my parents the link.
Its on my playlist at the bottom of this blog. I guarantee you will not stop laughing until after the song is over!

The morning after
I hope every ones 4th was an enjoyable one. We did not go anywhere to see the fireworks. The weather channel forcasted Thunderstorms early evening and to continue through out the night. Needless to say they were WRONG! So.. instead we set up some lawn chairs and watched as the neighbors did their displays and the gated community across the street really put on a show. They had the mack daddy of all fireworks. The mortar kind. Never saw one police car try to enter that community. Maybe cause they couldn't get in? haha...
Earlier we enjoyed dinner with both sets of parents. Chris' parents hosted. The Salmon was wonderful. I know, not your typical grilling food for the 4th but trust me no one complained. My kids were even into it.
Chris got a call from the Mimi's Rescue on Thursday letting us know that the two kittens we are adopting were going in to be spayed that day and that we should have them either on Saturday or Monday. We originally thought that one of them was a little boy, but nope. It's a girl. Which is cool. We wanted two females to begin with. So at this point in time their names will be Belle ( Katie picked that one) and Cuddles (because it is exactly like the cat Chris had as a child that was named Cuddles) We are so original aren't we? I will have to post some picks as we take them. Belle is a Flame Point Siamese and I am not sure what the other one is but she is cute.
Oh.. I almost forgot. If you choose to go see a movie this weekend. I highly recommend Hancock. Seriously, this is a funny and touching movie. I don't think there was ever a time that I wasn't laughing or teary. It is that good. My whole family enjoyed it and it will be a movie that we will buy when it is released.

Not in the Holiday Mood....
I don't know why but it sure doesn't feel like a holiday is around the corner. Just not in the celebrating mood and it bothers me a little.
Chris and Katie put up the tree yesterday. All that is left to do is hang the ornaments which Katie will help me with.
The pups were watching with the most interested expressions on their cute little faces. I think Bentley has the idea that this is going to be his very own pissing tree.. so.. we will have to keep on eye on him.
Santa Paws is going to be very generous to the animals in our household. Bear, Katie's hamster, has already received his Christmas present early. He got a bigger cage. He is no ordinary hamster. He is slightly smaller than a Guinea Pig and he wasn't fitting into his tunnels all that well. He is a big boy.
I am looking forward to having a few weeks off from the hustle and bustle of school. I have been spending so much time with school that my family wonders if I even remember who they are. haha... No really.. it's a lot easier than I imagined but then again the classes that I am taking are fairly easy. Introduction to Business and Academic Strategies for the Business Professional. Next semester will be College Composition 1 and Marketing. I can't describe in words how excited I am to be doing this. I feel like I am making a positive step forward. I just hope I can maintain the commitment and finish all 3.5 years of this. OY!!!!

It never fails...
someone always gets sick during the holidays. This year it happened to Katie.
We had a wonderful feast and all and she kept up with everyone else in over indulging but at about 5am Friday morning she came running into our room crying that her tummy hurt and lo and behold she threw up right in the middle of our room.
Although she had more than a mere tummy ache, she was raging with fever too. A dose of children's Motrin and some water with a new change of pajamas and she was back in dreamland.
Daddy got to stay home with her. Luckily for Daddy he wasn't scheduled to be at work yesterday. *Bastard*
The kids didn't have school yesterday anyway and If I did not go into work "on the busiest day of the year for plumbers" I would not have been paid for Thanksgiving. By the way.... it wasn't busy at all. DAMN!!!!
She has been feverish off and on all day today so hopefully she just has a 24 bug deal going on. I so hope no one else gets it because I am usually the last one and I normally get it 10 times worse than anyone else. I think I am going to stock up on Vitamin C and Cranberry juice now so I can prevent this thing getting to me.

I am Thankful

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I hope each and every one you have found something to be thankful for. I am thankful for:
- My Family - without their love and support I wouldn't be striving to be better myself.
- My Friends
- My Job - although at times I complain but I am still thankful that I have one:)
We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a tradition in our home. Chris fried TWO turkeys (his bosses son wanted fried turkey this year so Chris volunteered to show his son how to do it) all the sides you could want:
Mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, yams, cranberries,Waldorf salad, olives, deviled eggs and home made bread. Of course there was pies. Three of them: Pumpkin, Apple and Blueberry
None of my family fell asleep after eating but all the grandparents went home tired and wanting naps:)
