10 days and counting...

until the hustle and bustle of waking everyone up early in the morning for school. Jeff and I picked up his schedule today. I can't believe he is a junior. Where the hell does the time go? My baby will be in first grade and we have Brittany that is forgoing high school and getting her GED before she turns 18 in October.
I was looking over Jeff's schedule and OMG is he going to be busy this year. Honors Algebra 2, Honors Chemistry, Dual Enrollment English and AP Honors World History. Not to mention Orchestra and an Aerospace Engineering class. Jeff says that he will be building a rocket in that class. Great.... just what I needed to hear.

A rocket? Awesome! LOL

How was your orientation? Maybe they fixed the chaos when it was your turn.

Kat - Yeah it's awesome until he blows the house up.

Picking up the schedule was somewhat comical.. teachers with that far off blank stare and the "what was I doing"? look. Other than that we found everything ok.

Jeff sounds like a very bright young man.

I had to laugh at the image of the teachers staring blankly into the distance. I'm sure they're NOT looking forward to 10 days from now. :)

lattegirl - Jeff is a smart kid when it comes to book intelligence, now regarding common sense.. he lacks brains in that dept. Apparently that's typical for book smart people. I don't know where he got the brains because I hard to work very hard, where it comes naturally to him.

When I worked as a Chiroprator's Asst. I had MANY, MANY teachers as patients, and they were NUTS! I mean, the most difficult to communicate with, and it didn't seem to matter what grade, if they taught, they were certifiably looney. They'd laugh when you asked about the weather and they'd talk to themselves back and forth (well don't forget to go to the store, oh wait, we already did that today) when they were alone, and they'd complain about the pain in their necks and then ask why I put an ice pack/heat pack on their necks when their backs hurt? CRAZY!!! Luckily, Cateyes has had normal ladies as teachers so far, we'll see this year.
